Additionally, the AnimeJapan Special Award will allow its recipient to present their work at anime conventions and partake in a seminar led by established creators at their academic institution.
The judging panel comprises the AnimeJapan Executive Committee, which includes representatives from 22 notable anime companies and one industry organization. Winners will be announced during the AnimeJapan 2027 event, specifically on public days, either March 27 or 28, 2027.
