Insight Editions is set to publish two official books celebrating the 20th anniversary of Guillermo del Toro’s ‘Pan’s Labyrinth’.
To commemorate the 20th anniversary of Guillermo del Toro’s acclaimed film Pan’s Labyrinth, Insight Editions has announced the release of two official books: Pan’s Labyrinth: The Complete Screenplay and Guillermo del Toro’s Pan’s Labyrinth: Inside the Creation of a Modern Fairytale — 20th Anniversary Edition. The Inside the Creation of a Modern Fairytale edition is crafted in close collaboration with del Toro and aims to explore the film's entire production journey. This includes discussions of early story ideas, casting, production challenges, and the overwhelmingly positive critical reception the film received. The book features contributions from key figures involved in the making of the film, including interviews with actors Ivana Baquero, Sergi López, Maribel Verdú, and Doug Jones, as well as producers and the director of photography. Notably, director Steven Spielberg provides the foreword for this anniversary edition.
Insight Editions is offering a limited edition of 500 copies of the anniversary book, with the first 100 signed by del Toro himself. Each limited copy is casebound in Svepa leatherette, enhanced with gilded edges, gold foil detail, and blind debossing, packaged in a special slipcase.
The Complete Screenplay volume includes the full shooting script of the fantasy film, allowing fans a complete view into del Toro’s narrative vision.
Pan’s Labyrinth originally premiered in 2006 and has garnered both cult status and critical acclaim.
