The Taiwan Creative Content Fest (TCCF) has officially announced its new initiative, Spotlight Screenings, in collaboration with Vieshow Cinemas. This initiative, unveiled on September 22, 2026, will provide industry buyers and key professionals with exclusive previews of two significant Taiwanese titles. The first screening of the festival is scheduled for November 7, featuring the film April.
The film April tells the story of a migrant family caregiver in a Hakka community in Pingtung, Taiwan. It explores her challenges upon returning home, focusing on themes of estrangement and her efforts to heal fractured family relationships. April was officially selected for the 2025 Tokyo International Film Festival and received multiple nominations at the 2026 Taipei Film Awards, including Best Actress. The film features a talented cast, including Liu Kuan-Ting, Angel Aquino, Esther Huang, Kaiser Chuang, Yu Tzu-yu, and Shih Ming-shuai, representing the vibrancy of Taiwan's film industry.
The second title to be showcased in the Spotlight initiative is the fantasy romance series See You At 11pm, scheduled for November 8. This series weaves a narrative that transcends life and death, exploring the intricate connections between Taiwan and Singapore. Co-produced by Taiwan’s Three-Giant Production and Singapore’s Mediacorp, the series features a dynamic cast, including Taiwanese actors Liu Hsiu-Fu, Chloe Xiang, and Peter Ho.
The screenings will take place at Vieshow Cinemas' venue in Mitsui Shopping Park LaLaport Nangang, conveniently located a short walk from TCCF's main venue at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center. Moreover, the TCCF Market will feature 107 exhibitors from seven countries, including Taiwan, South Korea, Thailand, Japan, Singapore, France, and the Philippines.
