Toei Animation has officially announced the upcoming all-male stage play titled Colorful Runway! Precure the Stage. The play is set to run from December 5 to December 13 at The Galaxy Theatre in Tokyo and subsequently from December 26 to December 27 at Cool Japan Park Osaka WW Hall. This announcement was made on the official website for Dancing☆Star Precure.
Colorful Runway! Precure the Stage will continue the trend established by its predecessor productions within the Precure (Pretty Cure) franchise. The play will focus on high school boys navigating their lives as dancers and their roles as Precures, adding a fashion-centric twist to the narrative. The production will be directed by Hosakayō, who also penned the script, while character designs will be created by Toshie Kawamura, known for her previous work on various Precure series including Yes! Precure 5 and Smile Precure!.
Takashi Washio, the producer behind the original Futari wa Pretty Cure series, will supervise this new stage play, ensuring continuity with the franchise's rich history.
