Dori Media Group is launching its innovative dating format, 'New Love', at MIPCOM, aimed at reshaping reality television’s approach to relationships.

Dori Media Group has officially launched its new dating format, titled 'New Love', just ahead of the upcoming MIPCOM market event. This innovative show, developed by Fremantle-owned Abot Hameiri, will allow buyers in the international television market to explore new romantic possibilities. The announcement was reported by Deadline on September 7, 2026.
The 'New Love' format places four single women in 72-hour live-in situations with selected strangers, bypassing conventional dating apps and staged first encounters. Instead of superficial interactions, New Love emphasizes real-life experiences where participants wake up together, meet friends and family, and navigate everyday moments, making it a fresh addition to existing dating shows. After the three-day period, each participant decides whether to continue with their pair or start anew.
Although New Love is just entering the global market, it has already enjoyed significant success in Israel under the title "Ahava Hadasha" on Reshet 13, spanning five successful seasons. The show has seen substantial audience growth—reportedly up 40% overall and 250% among the 25 to 34 demographic—during its fifth season. A sixth season is currently in pre-production, illustrating its popularity and potential as an engaging reality show.
Nadav Palti, CEO of Dori Media Group, expressed enthusiasm about launching New Love, citing its track record of five seasons of audience growth and its capacity to attract younger viewers. Roee Strikovski, CEO of Abot Hameiri, noted that the format offers a direct approach to relationships, suggesting that the immersive experience could reveal genuine compatibility better than traditional dating setups. "Dating shows have been selling foreplay for 25 years; New Love sells the relationship," Strikovski stated, emphasizing the show's unique perspective on dating.
The launch of New Love coincides with preparations for MIPCOM, set to take place in Cannes, France. This market serves as a pivotal platform for buyers and sellers in the television industry, making Dori Media's timing for introducing this format highly strategic. The expected interest in dating formats at the event could provide a significant boost to New Love.
Dori Media Group has seen success with formats such as Power Couple, which has successfully launched in over 25 territories. Additionally, the recent game show The Auction is also part of Dori Media's expanding portfolio.
The introduction of New Love at MIPCOM could reshape the landscape of dating reality shows by focusing on genuine relationship development and immersive experiences. Given its track record in Israel, the show's reception among international buyers may highlight a shift in viewer preferences towards more relatable and authentic portrayals of romance.
